The
aim of the project ORKNEYJAR - HJALTLAND - FØROYAR is
to encourage experiment in music, sound and video art in specific
island's landscapes and to provide exhibition / performance opportunities and platform for
creative discussion between our islands, as places
sharing history, geography and remoteness
MANIFESTA12 in ORKNEY, SHETLAND
and FAEROE
We started the project with an ambition to
prepare the ground for joint application /Orkney, Shetland and Faeroe/
to hold Manifesta 12 /which is the roving European Biennial of Contemporary
art changing locations every two years/ in 2018 on our islands.
May be we’re not going to get there but we hope have some
interesting results on the way

way influenced by landscape, soundscape and islands cultural context
